I applied to all Big 4 consulting firms straight out of my MBA. Rejected by every single one. My case study performance was "adequate but unremarkable" according to one rejection email.
I was devastated. I'd spent £60K on an MBA specifically to break into consulting, and it wasn't working. A classmate who'd landed at McKinsey recommended SUAR.
The Interview Simulator was a revelation. I practised over fifteen case studies with the consulting archetype. SUAR identified my weakness: I was solving problems correctly but not communicating my framework clearly enough.
I also used the CV Scanner to restructure around impact rather than responsibilities. "Advised CEO on market entry strategy resulting in £3.2M revenue" replaced "participated in strategy projects".
Six months later, I reapplied to all four. This time, I received offers from Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG. I chose Deloitte for the culture. The partner who interviewed me said my case performance was "among the strongest he'd seen".
